Vintage Nonsense — Affiliate Programme Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully. By ticking the agreement box on the sign-up form, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not join the programme.

1. About the programme

The Vintage Nonsense Affiliate Programme ("the Programme") allows approved individuals ("Affiliates", "you") to earn commission by promoting Vintage Nonsense (vintagenonsense.co.uk) ("we", "us", "the Store") products using a personal discount code issued to you.

Vintage Nonsense is the trading name of TJ Simmons, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.

2. Joining the programme

2.1. You must be at least 18 years old to join.

2.2. You must complete the sign-up form and agree to these terms. We review all applications and may accept or decline any application at our discretion.

2.3. On approval, we will issue you a personal discount code ("your Code"). Your Code gives your audience 10% off their order and attributes those sales to you.

2.4. Your Code is personal to you and may not be transferred, sold or shared with other promoters.

3. How commission works

3.1. You earn commission on every completed sale made using your Code.

3.2. Commission is calculated as a percentage of the amount the customer actually paid (i.e. the price after their 10% discount is applied, excluding any postage costs).

3.3. Your commission rate is set by your total attributed sales in each calendar month:

3.4. Your rate applies to all of that month's sales — for example, if you pass £300 in a month, your entire month is paid at 10%, not just the sales above £300. Tiers reset at the start of each calendar month.

3.5. Rainmaker perks (£500+ months) include a free product of your choice, early access to new monthly drops, and input into future designs. Perks are offered at our discretion and may vary.

3.6. We may adjust commission rates, tiers or perks with at least 14 days' written notice. Changes never apply retroactively to sales already made.

4. Payouts

4.1. Commission accrues from your very first sale.

4.2. Payouts are made once your unpaid balance reaches £20. Balances below £20 roll over indefinitely and never expire — they remain yours and are paid as soon as your balance crosses the threshold.

4.3. Eligible balances are paid monthly, within 3 working days of the end of each calendar month, by bank transfer (Faster Payments) to the UK account details you provided on sign-up. PayPal is available as an alternative on request.

4.4. It is your responsibility to keep your payment details up to date. We are not liable for payments sent to out-of-date details you have provided.

5. Refunds, returns and clawbacks

5.1. If an order attributed to you is refunded, returned, cancelled or found to be fraudulent, the commission on that order is deducted from your balance (or from a future payout if already paid).

5.2. Commission is only earned on genuine, completed sales.

6. Advertising rules — required disclosure

6.1. Under UK advertising rules (ASA/CMA guidance), you must make clear that you earn commission whenever you promote us or share your Code. This means including a clear label such as #ad, #affiliate or "affiliate link" in any post, story, video, bio link or message that includes your Code.

6.2. If we notify you that a post does not comply, you agree to correct it promptly. Repeated failure to disclose may result in removal from the Programme.

7. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

(a) arrange fraudulent purchases designed primarily to inflate commission or tier progress rather than to acquire products genuinely. You are welcome to use your own Code on personal orders — you will receive the 10% discount, earn commission, and those orders count toward your monthly tier like any other sale;
(b) bid on, or use, our brand name, store name or close misspellings of them in paid search or paid social advertising;
(c) present yourself as being Vintage Nonsense, an employee of it, or its official account;
(d) promote us through spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, misleading claims, or on any platform or content involving hate, adult material or illegal activity;
(e) publish your Code on voucher/coupon aggregator sites without our written permission;
(f) make claims about our products that are untrue or that we have not authorised.

Breach of this section may result in withheld commission on affected sales and/or immediate removal from the Programme.

8. Your status and tax

8.1. You are an independent individual, not our employee, agent or partner. Nothing in the Programme creates an employment relationship.

8.2. You are solely responsible for declaring and paying any tax due on your commission earnings. (UK residents: HMRC's trading allowance may apply to small side incomes — this is your responsibility to check.)

9. Ending participation

9.1. You may leave the Programme at any time by emailing us. Any balance you have accrued remains payable under section 4.

9.2. We may suspend or remove you from the Programme: immediately for breach of sections 6 or 7; or otherwise with 14 days' notice.

9.3. We may close the Programme entirely with 30 days' notice. Legitimately earned balances remain payable.

10. Your data

We hold the details you provide (name, email, payment details, sales records) solely to run the Programme, calculate and pay commission, and meet our legal record-keeping obligations. We do not sell or share your details with third parties except as required to process payments or by law.
